Olive Bread

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp instant yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup yogurt plain
  • 1/2 cup olives diced

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine 1 cup flour, yeast, sugar and warm water. Cover and set aside for 10-15 mins.
  2. When the yeast is activated and bubbles start to form, add all other ingredients and mix by hand until a dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, add more flour.
  3. Grease a pan with a bit of olive oil, divide dough to 20-22 equal balls and place them in the pan, leaving a little space between them. Cover and let rest for 1 hour.
  4. After 1 hour, each ball should double in size. Bake in preheated oven (200°C) for 15-20 mins or until golden brown on top.
