Okay I’m going to be honest here, when I want to get creative with my breakfasts, my go-to recipes are oatmeal recipes. But that day, I didn’t have oats. Yes it happens. Sometimes. So I created this Semolina Porridgr becausr why not!
It actually tastes so good with the caramelized banans on top yum!
Semolina Porridge with Caramelized Bananas
- 1 small banana cut to pieces
- 1/2 tbsp coconut oil
- 1/2 tbsp honey
- 1 cup semolina
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp honey
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup water
In a pan on low heat, melt the coconut oil with 1/2 tbsp honey. When melted, add the bananas and leave on 1 side until golden. Flip and leave them on the other side to golden too. Take off heat, put in a plate and set aside.
In the same pan, add all the semolina porridge ingredients. Stir on medium heat until thick. Decorate with the caramelized banana, some chocolate chips and sesame seeds and enjoy warm!
