Hello everyone! This is the first recipe here on this new website! We’re still in Ramadan and I’m still delivering healthier ways to prepare our favorite Arabic desserts. After my date filled fingers, healthy Mhalabiyeh and Healthier Mafroukeh, I’m bringing you the healthy Meghle! Super quick and easy to make with few ingredients. Let’s see how it’s done!
- 1/2 cup fine rice
- 4 cups water
- 4 tbsp sugar or dry sweetener of choice
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp caraway
- 1 tsp anise
Mix everything in a saucepan. Stir while on medium heat until mixture is thick (around 10 mins).
Pour in your cups and refrigerate until firm (around 1 hour)
Decorate with shredded coconut and raw nuts and enjoy!
